Keston and Paul have quite the love story! They knew of each other their whole lives because they both grew up in the same small town. However, a close friendship began as a result of working together since 2013. They are both employed at a private day school that provides services to students with mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities, or behavioral issues. Keston teaches math, and Paul spends his day with a group of children who need some extra support in academics and behavior management. He jokingly refers to himself as a the “behavioral bouncer.”

This sweet couple has so much in common! One of the things that consistently came up throughout their engagement session was their heart for children. It is clear that they both love their roles at the private school, and to add to their busy schedules, they also coach at the local high school. I kid you not – they are literally planning all of the million pieces of wedding prep around sports seasons and coaching. Decisions have been made and deposits have been paid because they both know in a couple of weeks, basketball season will start and then their BIG DAY will basically be here!

Speaking of their love for children, Paul has two daughters who were huge contributors to the proposal. In fact, they pretty much wrote out the proposal! I know, I know – you think I’m crazy in saying that, but hear me out. Keston and Paul often times have game nights with the girls, and so Paul intentionally setup the night of the proposal with the Hangman puzzle game. They made Keston solve the first phrase, which said, “We love you!” It was then Paul’s turn to solve the second phrase, which he of course already knew. He guessed a few letters, and then dropped to one knee to solve the puzzle, which said, “Will you marry me, Keston?” Of course, at this point, everyone in the room is either screaming, crying, laughing, or doing all the above! (Trust me, we saw the video of the proposal, and we had the same reaction!) The girls’ contribution to this love story doesn’t end there. Both girls will play a special role on Keston and Paul’s big day as well! One will stand on Keston’s side and one will stand on Paul’s side. This is important to everyone, and as Keston describes it, “We not only are two becoming one in marriage, but we are all becoming one as a family of four.” (My heart melted, y’all!)

We can’t wait for their March 2019 wedding to get here…but first, basketball season! ;)

From Keston to her husband-to-be:

"I love that he is so genuine and compassionate. He is my gentle giant. I love that he is intentional with all that he does. I also love that he goes above and beyond for me on a daily basis. He makes sure that I always have a smile on my face every day. Another one of my most favorite things about him is the way that he looks at me and I know that everything is going to be okay. Finally, no matter how hectic and busy situations get or how overwhelmed I am, I know I am going to just fine because I have the constant encouragement and support from him."

From Paul to his wife-to-be:

"Keston has the most unbelievable smile that can brighten any room. She is the calm to my storm, whenever I am feeling the stresses of life and work she is always there to lend an ear to keep me grounded. My soon-to-be wife is an amazing mother and parent. She will never quit on herself or on us. She happens to be the best cuddler. Her spirit shines so bright. She never backs down from her beliefs. When I hug her, I get the feeling she will never let go. She helps me find my smile when it’s missing. I cannot imagine life without her. She is the peanut butter to my jelly. I will always love my wife because she is not perfect, but she is perfectly Keston!"
