Lauren & Josh | Engagement Session in Buena Vista, VA

Lauren and Josh are every bit of perfect -- perfect for one another and picture perfect, too! Seriously, their session had me swooning from the very beginning. Not only were they awesome in front of the camera, but they were wonderful to be around! We loved hearing more about their love story, especially the proposal! Their proposal story is just beautiful,  and it is even more beautiful the way they tell it:

"The day of our engagement was a crazy one for sure. Josh had been planning this moment for several months (unbenounced to me). One of my favorite places in Buena Vista is located on a farm that's over 300 acres. I work privately for the owners and I’m very good friends with them. Josh decided that the farm and its newly constructed barn would be the ideal proposal place. He had my brother and his girlfriend help decorate the inside of the barn and plan the proposal. It was the day after Christmas and Josh told me to get dressed up because he had reservations at a nice restaurant. At first I was hesitant because knowing Josh he has never placed a dinner reservation, especially not at a “fancy” restaurant. He picked me up and I could tell something was up. After we left my house he told me we had to switch vehicles (the only way up to the farm requires four wheel drive) and that he had planned a surprise Christmas photo shoot for us. As we approached the farm I was confused, since the horses that I had previously put up in the barn were now out roaming the land. We drove up to the barn and when we arrived he led me into the barn. The inside of the barn was decorated with lights that had pictures of us hung up and the floor was covered in rose petals (it was so beautiful). On the other end of the barn there was a little place for me to sit and his laptop. He told me to have a seat and press play on the computer. I pressed play and videos of some of our friends and family members played, he even included my fur baby Meeko (which definitely induced the tears). At the end of the video I turned around and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After I said yes, obviously, he had another video of more friends and family members congratulating us. After the video ended he led me outside and my best friend and both of our families were outside ready to congratulate and celebrate with us."

We are so excited to capture their big day in September when they commit to one another before God and their family and friends!
